Tulsi Marriage Vidhi: Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha falling in Kartik month is called Devotthan, Devuthani or Prabodhini Ekadashi. This Ekadashi comes after Diwali. It is said in the scriptures that couples who do not have daughters should marry Tulsi at least once in their life. By this one attains the virtue of Kanyadaan. By marrying Tulsi, married life becomes filled with happiness.
For Tulsi marriage, first of all keep the Tulsi plant on a plank in the middle of the courtyard, terrace or puja room. Decorate a sugarcane pavilion over the basil pot. Offer red chunari along with all the suhaag material to Tulsi Devi. Now keep Shaligram ji in the pot. Offer sesame seeds on them. Apply turmeric soaked in milk on Tulsi and Shaligram ji. Perform aarti of Tulsi Maa with camphor and offer prasad. Circumambulate around Tulsi ji 11 times. After this, consume the Prasad along with the main food. Distribute Prasad.
